A new photovoltaic system for the headquarter

The new Polti photovoltaic plant is launched: revamping operations have seen the replacement of all the modules and inverters installed in 2011 at the Bulgarograsso site in Como province, for an even more powerful performance. Polti, also with this choice of governance, shows that it is thinking about the future of the new generations and that it is constantly committed to actions that can have a positive impact on the environment, such as the real reduction of emissions.

New panels have been placed on the roof, more efficient than the previous ones. The existing system has so far met 40% of the company’s energy needs, while this improvement will increase to meet of 55% - 60%, albeit with fewer square meters of covered area, thus saving about 302 tons of Co2 a year. Fewer panels, but more efficient, that will guarantee a total power of 450kW, for a total of 4,423 m2 compared to the current 7,372 m2.

“The substitution of the photovoltaic plant moves in the direction of increasing the efficiency of daily consumption, something that we have always tried to encourage both within the company and through our products in the homes of our homelovers - emphasizes Francesca Polti, President and CEO -. The adoption of sustainable behavior does not simply concern Polti; in our vision, every large investment undertaken by companies like ours as well as every small gesture by individuals, for example the choice to clean the house only with steam and without toxic substances, contribute to the same goal: to respect our planet and protect future generations".

The sustainability plan undertaken by Polti, for which it relied on SDA Bocconi, today represents a governance project pursued in a strategic way not only at management level, but is also a fundamental value on which the Italian company has built its vision of the coming years: "Today we are taking another small big step towards sustainability, a journey that we have undertaken so that it can continue for a long time", concludes Francesca Polti
